Subsignal is the project that rose from the ashes of Sieges Even, created by the former guitarist and vocalist of SE.
Pa lists them under neo-prog which is WRONG (I LOLed).
There are a lot of metal elements on the album; surely the music follows the pattern of Sieges Even's last two albums plus some more keys sounds. Great music anyway!

Unfortunately, these days at PA adding a band to Neo is the only way to get them in the DB after it has been found wanting by the more 'purist' teams. Subsignal were added by Olav (Windhawk), who is a specialist in rescuing those acts that have fallen through the cracks. If they have also been cleared by the PMT, perhaps it would be a good idea to ask them to move them to PM.

Where would PA be with out Olav eh?
Another fine PM band has been misplaced recently and I asked for them to be correctly moved and didn't hear a word. Nuff said Raff

I honestly don't care about what's Subsignal situation on PA; let's have them featured here, under the right criteria - I say they are progressive metal. They deserve to be featured here. Edited by LittleBig - 22 Jul 2010 at 1:30pm |

I am tempted to move both of them myself, but don't want to get into an argument. There are many reasons why Micky and I quit collaborating with the site, and this is one of them. @LIttleBig: having a band misplaced may not be a big deal, but we should remember that the primary function of those subgenres is that of guides for people who want to explore prog (or metal) beyond what is more widely known. It's like the classification of books in a library - no one would expects to find cookbooks in the Sci-fi section, for instance. |

well, if Subsignal will be featured here under progressive metal, I think it's more than OK; maybe peple on PA actually consider Subsignal as neo-prog, I don't know, I just disagree, that's all.
