KALMAH: Finnish Death Metallers Post New Track Via Decibel Magazine

As the release of KALMAHs Seventh Swamphony full-length draws near, today Decibel Magazine hurls forth a stream of second track Deadfall from the Finnish death metal miscreants!

Recorded at Tico-Tico Studios in Kemi, Finland, the follow-up to 2010s critically acclaimed 12 Gauge release was mixed and mastered at Swedens Fascination Street Studios by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Soilwork, Paradise Lost, et al) and showcases the Oulu outfits signature brand of frantic, yet melodic death metal tempered here by a new-found epic mournfulness. Notes New Noise Magazine in an early review of the offering: Seventh Swamphony features quality over quantity and you will be aware of that on the first listen. Never have I heard the band so supercharged and ready to slaughter as they are featured here. Even the slower paced Windlake Tale  correctly utilizes a death growl vocal approach to its melodic folk and works well as a blueprint to show Amorphis what theyve been doing wrong all of these years. Quite simply put, Seventh Swamphony might very well be one of the heaviest folk metal albums that Ive heard in years and should go down in the bands history as one of their most memorable releases. Chalk another one up for victory, KALMAH. How much better can these gentlemen get?

Seventh Swamphony will be released in North America via Spinefarm Records digitally on June 18, 2013 and on CD June 25, 2013. For preorders, point your browser HERE.
