Folk Metal's probably my favorite subgenre of metal. I'd just like to see what everyone else's favorites are.

My list will come soon.

I used to listen to a lot of Korpiklaani and Eluveitie, Turisas, things like that.  Just got tired of it, unfortunately.  Still enjoy it from time to time, but I listen to a pretty overwhelming variety of music so bands I used to quite like often get neglected

1. Skyclad - A Burnt Offering for the Bone Idol
2. Skyclad - Wayward Sons of Mother Earth
3. Skyclad - Jonah's Ark
4. Skyclad - Prince of the Poverty Line
5. Skyclad - Irrational Anthems
------- the absolute best, including Tracks of the Wilderness EP with the monumental cover of Thin Lizzy's Emerald.

6. Skyclad - Folkemon
7. Skyclad - Vintage Whine
8. Skyclad - Oui Avant Garde a Chance
9. Skyclad - The Answer Machine?
10. Skyclad - The Silent Whales of Lunar Sea

Needless to say, I think Skyclad is the best folk metal band ever. Not only I think that the entire genre of folk metal (with bands like Fintroll and Korpiklaani or whatever) is notably inferior in every way but I also think that Skyclad is one of the most underrated bands in the entire metal genre.

GREAT band, very unique and with a brilliant lyricist and mainman who gave them a touch of class and identity that are very rare. Literally all their albums are worth owning. But the top stuff is absolutely GREAT.
