The Fan (5/10???). A weird character for DeNiro, they could have done a better job in developing his character's past, and it would have been a better movie.

Cannibal Holocaust
An amazing film. It's a shame many people won't watch it due to the animal killings.

Scanners
I'd like to give it a higher rating but the ending felt way too rushed, and the acting was questionable at times.

worst film I ever saw with a completely unlikely ecological plot. With a screenplay that a 5-year old kid could pen. Recently watched (on TV) this marvellous film (with credits by the not less marvellous Lisa Gerrard) : |

Soylent Green (10/10)
I like how the poster art looks like 80s thrash metal LP cover artwork. Edited by Time Signature - 15 May 2010 at 11:50am |

Very exciting from beginning to end, just the right amount of unanswered questions. And great work by the actors. 9/10.

I would have thought of Queen's 'News of the world' at first sight. |

^ That really scared me when I was a kid. My dad had the LP and I often snooped through his record collection as a child - the "News of the World" art gave haunted me for months.

Funny People.
Interesting watch. A bit on the long side. A few funny lines (mainly from Jonah Hill), but more of a dark comedy/drama. I enjoyed the subplot about the tv show "Yo Teach!". Acting not the greatest, but can't expect much for a Sandler film. Pleased with how it ended. Despite any flaws, I'd give it a 7/10. |

What a coincidence, it is the last movie that I watched as well!! It was fantastic, I always have underrated Crowe and Scott, now I see how wrong I was!

Excellent film, brilliant piece of dark satire with a very sinister, violent side. Recommended for anyone who likes a good old chortle with a serious edge. "Purgatory... it's the one in the middle, neither really good or really shit... like Tottenham. Do you believe in all that stuff?" "What, Tottenham?" "No, the afterlife and all that..." Not quoted exactly but you get the gist |
