It's laughably bad, which is a fucking better than just plain bad.

And tonight, trying to catch up on Bruce Lee.

This one was pretty good.  The only other two I've seen with him are Fists of Fury (The Chinese Connection and Enter The Dragon.

I think that the 2009-Star Trek was entertaining, but it never felt like a real Star Trek movie.

I saw Piranha 3D yesterday.... worst piece of shit movie I've ever seen.

That is indeed what I'm talking about.  I just wasn't sure how the alternate reality thing went over with Star Trek fans.

Assuming you're referring to the film that came out in 2009, I was quite pleased with it.  And I'd consider myself to be a rather strong Star Trek fan.

I like Ben Croshaw's analogy: "I watched an anime once.  Guy pulls a gun at the start of the episode, fires it at the end, and everything between is angst.  I wouldn't mind, but he missed."

Entertaining, but not more than that. I expected a more filthy, dark and desolate world.

It's not Miyazaki but have you watched Grave of the Fireflies? It's easily the most heartrending movie I've ever seen.

...well I like the animated parts in Kill Bill, so animation isnt completely lost on me. I wouldnt watch a full movie of that stuff though.

Ive tried a couple of times, but animated "serious" movies just dont move me. I just cant seem to disregard the fact that its an animation and not "real" people acting.

Seriously, man, I'm sorry for you. And this film was directed by Satoshi Kon, a genius of animation. Unfortunately deceased Cry
