Not watched a stupid 80s monster movie in a while. Loved it!

James T Kirk vs James Bond #Can'tKeepTrack
This is a hell of a lot better than the previous movie, and probably the best since the original. Apparently it's the last to feature the full original cast, which is a bit of a shame, but they are getting a bit old for the action/adventure stuff. Anyway, a proper good traditional Star Trek plot, mistrust between the different species, a decent bit of peril, and Kim Catrall as a Vulcan babe.

Long, but still tries to jam a lot into it. This was criticised for a number of inaccuracies, like the terrain being too open and flat, and the wrong tank types being used, but it's a movie, not a historical documentary. It's interesting to compare the scenes of death and gore to more modern war films. There's not a lot of blood, but it didn't shy away from showing the Malmedy massacre. And I love Henry Fonda and Telly Savalas.

Found this one to drag a little compared to the prior three.

I´ve watched this one. Thought it was a little B-league, but it had its moments.

Surely among Pixar's best. I watched this before Host, but forgot to post it first. Solid film noir. Best one yet of these early Bond's for me. I feel like they really stepped up the action sequences in this one.

Surprisingly alright. The 'computer screen film' seems to be becoming the new found footage. In general I don't think that's any more of a good thing than the whole found footage is a good thing to begin with (meaning it usually isn't), but this got a lot more right than most low budget horror movies. I mean it has to get some plus points merely through the fact that its cast aren't a bunch of insufferable modern teenagers but actual seem like genuine people you could actually relate to (which sets it apart from the similar Unfriended). Some genuine tension is conveyed as well. It's far from a masterpiece, but for a movie I went in expecting to suck this really surprised me.

Really getting into the Bond movies now, though may burn out on them if I do too many so close together.

The comedy here is a little too American for my British sensibilities, but I overall enjoyed this film. Gets more and more manic as it goes along. I was kinda assuming the backlash against this was just the usual 'major blockbuster has to suck' crowd, but it turns out that this really isn't very good. All special effects and little substance, with the usual sequel cliches that exist only to undo story progress made in the first film to needlessly prolong plot points and keep characters in the film that didn't need to be there. Easily the worst film of the Harry Potter universe.
