Yeah its a favorite old school Swedish death metal album of mine too. Unfortunately it was downhill from there IMO. I havent really liked a single one of their albums since.

Great and VERY avant garde classical concert with lots of pot smoking hippies attendingLOL . No exactly in Zappas spirit (he loathed drug use of any kind, except cigarettes if you call that a drug), but what the hell...

I'm streaming this one on Spotify right now for my first listen, and really dig the orchestral interpretations of his music. Very cool that you got to experience that live! Big smile

Have you ever seen Zappa Plays Zappa, by the way? I really need to get around to catching that next time it stops by...

Yep I caught Dwezil the his crew the first time he toured as Zappa Plays Zappa in this place:
(13th of November 2005) Falconer Salen, Copenhagen, Denmark

He had among others Napoleon Murphy Brock, Terry Bozio and Steve Vai perform tracks with him...great show and definitely recommendable. I dont know who he is touring with today but Im sure he has some reallly competent musicians with him.

BTW did you know that all instruments on The Yellow Sharp are amplified? Pretty unusual for a classical album.

I'm pretty sure Napolean Murphy Brock still does stuff with ZPZ, but I'm not sure. And yeah, that is pretty strange! I'd imagine that would be quite difficult from a technical standpoint too. Wacko
