Hi There,

I'd like to suggest some bands that are missing on MMA:

Mehida is a great Progressive Metal band that has 2 full length albums

http://www.myspace.com/mehida

TRANSATLANTIC is a legendary Progressive Supergroup

http://www.transatlanticweb.com/

MAGIC PIE is another amazing Progressive Metal band

http://www.magicpie.net/

In Elegance new Australian Metalcore Band

Extrovert - one of the best Progressive Metal bands from Russia , Making the Ocean Awake is probably one of the best albums in Prog history along with Dream Theater Images & Words and Metropolis II . Check them out

Hi and welcome to MMA. Thanks for the suggestions, but please create a seperate thread for each suggestion. Its easier for the Collabs to keep a hold of which artists are added and which are not this way.

Yes, one band per suggestion thread please. Although to save your time I will tell you for now that Transatlantic at least is on I think their third suggestion for inclusion and they have been rejected. That's not a decision I agree with, at all, since I suggested them in the first place, but for borderline acts whether a band gets added or not comes down to a team vote, and in their case the team as a whole said no. I think the same goes for Magic Pie but don't hold me to that one. We, the prog team, will look into the others though.

dtguitarfan has added Extrovert.  http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/extrovert.aspx

Thanks for the suggestion. Mehida are also approved and will be added in the near future.

The prog team will consider Magic Pie. A vote will be required on this one as they are a borderline act from what I can tell.

As I said Transatlantic has already been rejected. A re-vote will not take place.

I'll pass on the metalcore suggestion to the team.

Thank you for reply. Sorry, I am very new to this forum...so not too sure how it all works.
Magic Pie I believe deserves to be on a list as it is a great Prog Metal band.
It is really strange why Transatlantic has been rejected, considering people involved in this band and it's popularity. Maybe not heavy enough? :)

Yea, they were rejected because they're not metal. LOL
I'm checking the metalcore suggestion.

Here you are:  http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/in-elegance.aspx
I won't lock the thread as Magic Pie hasn't been fully evaluated yet.

The issue with Transatlantic is although they have some metal in their sound and are for all intents and purposes considered a part of the metal scene they haven't made a single album that can fully be considered metal.

The team is voting on Magic Pie. Please understand that it may take a while for a decision to be made on borderline acts. Don't worry though, they won't be forgotten.

You have a point regarding Transatlantic, but on the other hand there are a lot of Hard Rock bands listed on MMA ;)
Considering Porcupine Tree isn't much heavier :)

But Magic Pie definitely Progressive Metal and exceptional Prog material , please see sample:
