Hearing it played in 1980 with Di'Anno was a truly amazing experience and probably, for me, never eclipsed. I can understand, however, younger people not getting it to my personal extent. As it is, maybe, with the NWoBHM era overall. Hey ho. |

Wow, debut album didn't do so hot. I'm really surprised! To me that album is so punk so metal, so progressive and so straight up rock that it hurts!! To me, it's like Sabbath coming out, you know? JUST LOVE IT!!
I'm glad to see Brave New World at the top of some lists. Great album, that, unfortunately, suffers production-wise imo. But one of their best......your time will come! your time will cooo--OO--weeeoooommeeee! |

Yeah, I meant Dance of Death before A Matter of Life and Death, thanks for the catch!
I totally agree about Paschendale. I don't know if it would bump it back two places, but I would definitely reconsider its rank! |

Virtual XI In reality, 1-10 is a shared first place (Maiden's my favorite music artist of all times across all genres). The only Iron Maiden album that I don't like is "Virtual XI" - I think that there is some good stuff on "The X Factor" and that Blaze does a fine job on that one (he's awful on "Virtual XI", but so is the rest of the band). By the way, I noted that you listed "A Matter of Life and Death" twice as 4 and 11... I assume one of them was supposed to be "Dance of Death". |

Hey Guys,
I love Iron Maiden. Love them like my mama! LOL, okay not like that, but definitely, probably, maybe even more! Maiden has given us 15 albums to relish (or not so much sometimes), and if you've got the Maiden know-how, I'd like to hear how you would order their albums in terms of quality. So many good moments to choose from. Here goes: 1. Iron Maiden 2. Piece of Mind 3. Brave New World 4. A Matter of Life and Death 5. Number of the Beast 6. Powerslave 7. Somewhere in Time 8. Killers 9. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son 10. Fear of the Dark 11. A Matter of Life and Death 12. No Prayer for the Dying 13. The Final Frontier 14. Virtual XI 15. The X Factor Sorry not a Blaze fan...and even if Dickinson sang on those albums, the songs weren't all that good, imo... Okay your turn. Ready, set, go! |
