Hey Guys,

I love Iron Maiden. Love them like my mama! LOL, okay not like that, but definitely, probably, maybe even more!

Maiden has given us 15 albums to relish (or not so much sometimes), and if you've got the Maiden know-how, I'd like to hear how you would order their albums in terms of quality. So many good moments to choose from.

 Here goes:

1. Iron Maiden
2. Piece of Mind
3. Brave New World
4. A Matter of Life and Death
5. Number of the Beast
6. Powerslave
7. Somewhere in Time
8. Killers
9. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
10. Fear of the Dark
11. A Matter of Life and Death
12. No Prayer for the Dying
13. The Final Frontier
14. Virtual XI
15. The X Factor

Sorry not a Blaze fan...and even if Dickinson sang on those albums, the songs weren't all that good, imo...

Okay your turn. Ready, set, go!

1. Somewhere in Time
2. Powerslave
3. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
4. Number of the Beast
5. Piece of Mind
6. Iron Maiden
7. Brave New World
8. Dance of Death
9. A Matter of Life and Death
10. Killers
11. The Final Frontier
12. No Prayer for the Dying
13. The X Factor
14. Fear of the Dark
15. Virtual XI

In reality, 1-10 is a shared first place (Maiden's my favorite music artist of all times across all genres). The only Iron Maiden album that I don't like is "Virtual XI" - I think that there is some good stuff on "The X Factor" and that Blaze does a fine job on that one (he's awful on "Virtual XI", but so is the rest of the band).

By the way, I noted that you listed "A Matter of Life and Death" twice as 4 and 11... I assume one of them was supposed to be "Dance of Death".

This. But if Dance' didn't have Paschendale on it, it would fall back two places.

Yeah, I meant Dance of Death before A Matter of Life and Death, thanks for the catch!

I totally agree about Paschendale. I don't know if it would bump it back two places, but I would definitely reconsider its rank!

Wow, debut album didn't do so hot. I'm really surprised! To me that album is so punk so metal, so progressive and so straight up rock that it hurts!! To me, it's like Sabbath coming out, you know? JUST LOVE IT!!

I'm glad to see Brave New World at the top of some lists. Great album, that, unfortunately, suffers production-wise imo. But one of their best......your time will come! your time will cooo--OO--weeeoooommeeee!

Showing my age somewhat here. However, lest not forget the importance of the debut. Hearing it played in 1980 with Di'Anno was a truly amazing experience and probably, for me, never eclipsed.

I can understand, however, younger people not getting it to my personal extent. As it is, maybe, with the NWoBHM era overall. Hey ho.

No, but the Dickinson era is better. Some songs of Blaze are great: Futureal, Man on the Edge, Virus, The Sign of The Cross, Clansman...

My list:

1. Powerslave
2. Seventh Son of Seven Son
3. A Matter of Life and Death (my favorite album post-reunion!)
4. Somewhere in Time (this album gets better every time I listen!)
5. Piece of Mind
6. Brave New World
7. Iron Maiden
8. Dance of Death
9. Killers
10. Fear of The Dark
11. No Prayer for the Dying
12. Virtual XI

Never listened to X-Factor Unhappy

...And yes, I NEVER LISTENED TO NUMBER OF THE BEAST! CryCryCryCryCryCryCryCryCryCry

Whatever are you doing right now, stop immediately and listen to that album. Right now. You'll thank me later.

Why/how on Earth have you listened to enough Maiden to even form an opinion of them and not heard The Number of the Beast!? That is a contender for best ALBUM of all time in metal circles, much less Maiden circles.
Not judging, just mind = blown.
LISTEN TO IT ASAP. Not hearing it is akin to voluntarily not orgasming. Ever.

^Many factors, guys. For many reasons, I never had access to that album particulary, and never wanted to download illegally. I will see if a friend could lend me a copy (even a digital copy...)

This technically isn't an illegal download:
