What the blooming hell is this all about, how can I not have heard about this until now ?
Have you heard about this ?
Ian Anderson is releasing a sequel album (not as Tull but as himself) to Thick As A Brick in about a week.
This seems like it should've been the biggest news in the world. I think Thick As A Brick is probably the best album ever made, how can I only hear about it through my amazon recommendations a few days before it comes out ?

Seriously, have you heard about it ? Were you all high-fiving each other in the streets for months and I was just unobservant ?

Ive moved this from Metal Music lounge to General music discussions, as it is not a metal related topic.

...and no I had not heard about this either. I cant say Im holding my breath though. I cant see this possibly coming anywhere near the excellence of the first one.

Wow, I just thought about the possibility of it not being good... that would really hurt.

IMO Anderson's recent stuff has been pretty cool, but it's definitely more folk than prog.  I don't really know what to expect from this.

Indeed, if you are interested in this albums and artists, the place to go is progarchives.  The news has been discussed there for the better part of this year.

the album has fortunately or unfortunately leaked on the net; it's a Ian Anderson album, not a Jethro Tull one; I'm not curious yet as I don't like sequels generally Big smile

They don't have Tull/Ian reviews on this site.
But here's my external review:
