Time Limit On Posts

It's now happened to me a couple of times as I have typing out a post and a window pops up stating my time has expired and I lose all my hard work(that can be argued). How much time is alloted for a posting? Can it be changed?
 
TBH, I never did understand why there has to be time limit. Some sites don't have a time limit, well others have. I'm usually doing multiple things when I'm on the site so at times I go away for a short while to do something else and come back to finish what I was doing, if I'm allowed to.Wink
 
I was wondering if anybody else finds this annoying? Just curious.

I somhow have gotten a outo logout thing which loggs me out when im off the forum to long, don't mind it sins I have the computer to remember the password. both here and on PA but not on JMA,

Maybe some members that are in the bad books are on a time limit. Would I be one of those or I'm just too slow on the keys.Ermm

No, it's probably I've never bothered to write a post long enough for it to make a difference.  It's also possible it's a web browser issue; what are you using?

PA times out like that too sometimes. I am pretty sure it's a glitch and yes, it's really irritating. You shouldn't lose the post, though. Whenever it happens to me the text stays in the box and I can just copy it and refresh the page.
