They technically qualify as metal. Has anyone thought about it?

What subgenre would they belong to? I've only heard their acoustic stuff from the motion picture.

They are more rock. But they fit to non metal or alternative metal. Nice band!

I wouldn't add a band if they only fit to non metal.

They do have some metal songs, but I think a required qualification for a band to be included is to have at least one album that is mostly metal. Having an entire album of acoustic comedy songs plus 2 metal tracks doesn't, IMO, cut it.

Could you explain why you think that? Besides the song "The Metal" (and maybe some other ones?) they have made very no metal. A few metal songs does not qualify for the whole discog. We need to draw some line in the sand otherwise we could have every band on Earth listed here They are pretty hilarious though

Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer and Testament. The real Big Four of thrash metal!
Listen to doom metal, worship Satan

Ive recently had both of their albums on loan and there was very little on those albums that I would call metal. I cant support their inclusion.
I actually had the albums on loan to decide wether or not I would ad the band to MMA and decided against it.

Ok you guys are right. I was just thinking of the Metal and Dio by them. Hilarious band though that's actually pretty talented.

OK as no one has made more comments and the general consensus as far as I can see is that the band shouldnt be added, Ill close the thread. If anyone wants it re-opened please send my a PM.
