Let's inaugurate this place with a first poll about a classic death metal band, Morbid Angel.

What's your favourite album?
I'll go with Altars Of Madness, ties with Blessed Are The Sick.

I'll admit I only have their first 2 albums.  My brother has their 3rd, and he used to have another one (Heretic), so while I'm fairly familiar with the band, I cannot fairly vote.

I've always felt that Covenant was really underrated. It was also my first Death Metal album along with Bloodthirst by Cannibal Corpse  Big smile

Tie between Blessed are the Sick and Covenant. I'll go for Blessed are the Sick.

Blessed are the Sick. Altars is amazing too, but is too thrashy for me.

I bought 3 Morbid Angel albums the other day, and my favorite from those three is Gateways to Annihilation. I'll vote for that even though I haven't heard them all.

This is a sadly overlooked album. I like it a lot. Even more than Blessed are the Sick. But I prefer Domination and Covenant.

I still need to get Covenant.... Cry  I love Domination, though.Thumbs Up

I've been appreciating their debut album a lot lately. I absolutely love the pure intensity of that album.

Gateways to Annihilation will always be the best... slow churning and hypnotic lava death metal heh... it was their pinnacle (so far) and i dont see them ever topping it. I also think it has the best vocals of any album they've done... extremely powerful delivery. I've always preferred steve tucker  to dave vincent, vocally.

Second favorite album is Domination... then Heretic (would be higher if it didn't have all that weird filler on it) and then Blessed are the Sick.

This is almost impossible to answer.
I love their ABC and D.
Altars is raw, Slayer infused nastiness jizzed up by Tre's electric fretwork.
Blessed is like listening to Hell Awaits after swallowing all your Grandma's painkillers.
Covenant  is a solid slab of pretty technical, pretty atonal metal, and is simply superb.
And Domination is just a masterpiece.

How do you expect us to choose between that lot?
Are you evil?
Yes, you are.

Altars of Madness for me as well, although it could be any of the first four really.

Covenant, one of my favorite death metal albums. Alters of Madness is a close second.
