Why should we abolish ponies? What will it accomplish?

Until I have an answer for these two questions, I shall firmly hold onto the belief that pony haters are just spewing nothing but unjustified hyperbole. 

There is nothing wrong with ponies, per say, the only thing wrong with them is the fandom stemming from it and the almost abnormal reactions to the show. While I agree with the sentiment of cutting DOWN on the pony talk, what justice would it accomplish to ban them completely from our forums? In my eyes, it would make a difference of completely removing the opinion of someone for simply enjoying the show. 

There's nothing wrong with being a hater of the show either. To each their own is my motto. If you'd like to loathe the show or love it, so be it, that's fine with me. We shouldn't go around removing cartoon horses completely from our forums, as that would be akin to banning the opinions of another.
