So I'm still in mild shock after the episode. I was not a fan at all of Fluttershy's clumsy flying setting off the Sonic Rainboom which then was a pivotal moment in all their lives because everything needs to be tied together. But other than that
 I have to say that I really like the idea that Pinkie's parents liking the party is only how she remembers it. Surely they would have seen the ways of the world before, and they must be too poor to afford any of those things because I can't imagine rock farming pays very well. So she just snapped and ran away to Ponyville. And someone pointed out that Luna is not in the moon during Pinkie's story like during the pilot, so clearly she is an unreliable narrator at best, if the story even happened at all! |

Not to mention the fact that Pinkie Pie had forgotten what story she was telling by the time she got to the end.

It was a little disturbing that she is apparently Dr. Manehattan. Her father looked like he had a life changing experience there. He's looking at his hooves saying "Where was I?" Although he also only loosely obeys the laws of physics.  And  This gif must be on every forum ever. It seems he's taken a step back from the You Gotta Share mix, since now I can actually recognize the song. And I was going to say that this still encapsulates the whole series, but then it made me notice that the cutie marks switch sides depending on the camera viewpoint all the time and now it's going to bother me forever.  |

That is horrible. Ironic covers are never good.
