^ I'd agree with all them, bar Slayer on which I have no meaningful comment. Anthrax is a dificult one. I'd say Spreading The Disease, but that may be because it was the first one I got. Some later albums too would be nice but to my ears they're good albums (Worship / For All Kings) rather than classics.

Annihilator - Never, Neverland
Paradox - Tales of the Weird Metallica: Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, Kill Em All Megadeth: Rust in Peace, Peace Sells, Countdown to Extinction I don't know Anthrax well but I'll throw a vote to Among the Living at least No real opinion for Slayer but I guess Seasons in the Abyss is an OK album.

This one seems to be not be as popular a topic as I'd expected, but I have ten albums lined up now.
I haven't taken every suggestion for this list, as there's been a couple mentioned where I don't see the evidence that the albums have as bad a rep as you seem to think: The Darkness and Razor albums both have managed to get over the 3.0 mark on RYM and as said before, those guys hate everything. Same for both Judas Priest albums mentioned, although I do hear people bash those on occasion. I've taken the liberty of putting Jugulator in instead. I mean, that Sabbath one passes the 3.0 barrier as well if that's really a consideration, but I do hear people dismiss that album more regularly so I'm more comfortable with including it. I didn't include Limp Bizkit, because basically their whole career would qualify. I'll be posting it shortly, just making up a cover image for it. Back to genres for the next subject and I think we'll do thrash metal next. Same deal on the so called Big 4 as with heavy metal's major acts: Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. Everyone votes for up to three albums each. Make sure they're actually tagged as thrash metal here though. Otherwise you get two picks each or more if we need to make up the number. |

I feel Slipknot's All Hope is Gone isn't as poor as it's suggested. Certainly far from their best but it's not a bad album.

Seconded A few more: Megadeth - Risk Judas Priest - Point of Entry or Turbo Razor - Custom Killing Limp Bizkit - Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water I would also say Pantera Power Metal, but that was already in the heavy metal list, and also I feel like that albums general reputation has gotten a lot better over the years with more people giving it a chance.

Chinese Democracy by G’n’R? Always thought it was unfairly slated due tot the ridiculous hype and anticipation. Not the greatest album in the world but better than folk give it credit for IMO.

^ I'm not sure on that one. Even RYM has that rated over 3.0 and they hate everything.

I will suggest Permission to Land by The Darkness. It's rating here is 3.47 which is respectable but it generally gets a bad rap as being nothing more than a gimmick whereas I find it to be a flawless hard rock album which is great fun and played by skilled musicians. Perhaps a victim of it's time of release?
