I´m on a huge Devin binge. I´ve been listening to Lightwork almost non stop throughout December, and I´m loving that album. But...right now I´m listening to: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/devin-townsend/accelerated-evolution and... http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/devin-townsend/epicloud I haven´t really listened to many of Devin´s "solo" efforts before (only some of the early releases) but I´m a huge SYL fan, but now I have finally found some time to give his other works a listen. Reviews will come slowly though. These albums are hard to review...

^ that one has one of the lamest album covers of all the 80s but the music is actually pretty good. Not as good as the first two albums but not too far behind.

^I can´t say I´m too impressed by W.A.S.P so far (I´ve only listened to the first three albums), but it´s decent enough heavy rock/hard rock music. To me it´s Lawless vocals which make a difference and make them stand out. The instrumental part of the music and especially the songwriting are pretty average for the genre. I hate to say it, but to my ears their image probably brought them a lot farther than their music would have gottem them without it.

I think I've just about given up on these guys. I've tried to get into them, I really have, but their music just bores me! They're not nearly as good as Kreator or Sodom. A pity cause I really DO think they have potential.

^I feel just about the same way, although I haven´t listened to all their releases yet. Kreator and Sodom ar both far superior to Destruction IMO.

I have a feeling this is going to be very high on my top 30 '22 releases list. |
