I thought this one was pretty cool too. I generally like Witchery though, so it´s no surprise I like this latest one too.

I agree. It´s like they lost the spark on this one. I´m not a huge fan of the production either. There are just several elements of this release which aren´t up to par with their usual incredibly high standards. I therefore never listen to it, while I frequently listen to all their previous releases. This one rubs me wrong.

^Yeah. At least we have the knowledge they produced far more good albums than not. Nevermore, in general, is amazing!

As for this album...I love it! Their revival period definitely beats out their early stuff in terms of quality but this album is an exception as it has Steve Grimmett on vox...and I love his voice!

I've always preferred Dave Padden as vocalist for these guys.

Neither Padden nor mr. Annihilator himself do it for me as vocalists. Actually I don´t think Annihilator ever had a top tier vocalist in their ranks. Randy Rampage comes close, but even though I absolutely worship Never, Neverland as an album, Coburn Pharr is the one element bringing it slightly down. I enjoyed Aaron Randal´s performance on Set the World on Fire but I´m not sure he was the best pick for Annihilator.

^Yeah they've never really had the ideal vocalist. Jeff Waters is the only reason I listen to these guys to begin w/. Love his solos.

Album of the year already, in January? I'm not sure if this can get topped for my personal tastes, tbh.

oh hell yeah. His solo on Sixes & Sevens ranks among my absolute favorite guitar solos. He can shred, but always with a lot of groove and sense for melody.

Interesting. I've always found it to be a bit feeble and weak in comparison to The Force.
