New Ayreon album called Transitus is inbound with a lot of guests already announced. It's already been three years since the last Ayreon release which was voted number one album for 2017 on MMA. I'm very hyped for this one.
Vocalists Announced So Far: Tom Baker (Doctor Who) as The Narrator Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, Seventh Wonder) as Daniel Cammie Gilbert (Oceans of Slumber) as Abby Micheal Mills (Toehider) as The Statue Amanda Somerville (ex-Aina, Trillium) as Lavinia Paul Manzi (Arena) as Henry Dianne van Giersbergen (Ex Libris, ex-Xandria) as The Soprano Johanne James (Threshold) as Abby's father Abraham Simone Simons (Epica) as The Angel of Death Dee Snider (Twisted Sister) as Daniel's Father Guest Guitarist: Joe Satriani

Looks like Dee Snider (Twisted Sister) is the next to be announced, based on guesses for the new guessing game Arjen put up today (and yeah, it does sound like him, to me.) The concept of this one seems quite intriguing, as always, and the clips have been fantastic. Then again, if it's an Ayreon album, it could be about just about anything and it would instantly become my most anticipated album for the year.

Can't say the artwork does anything for me.
Pretty boring actually for an Ayreon cover. Album entry added with all details known so far: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/ayreon/transitus

There's a 7 minute trailer out for it:
Looks utterly mindblowing, as usual for Ayreon!

Arjen sure knows her to make a trailer.
Getting some real gothic horror vibes off of the narrated bit with Tom Baker. Quite surprised to see the drums are not actually by Ed Warby. Have to change that on the MMA entry. Think there's a couple of names in there that haven't been included yet too. I also never realised how good a singer Threshold's drummer was.

then you need to hear his side project Kyrbgrinder, especially the second album - Cold War Technology (2010).

Two great new tracks. I prefer the heavy one with Dee Snider, but the softer one is pretty good too. Sounds like I need to pay attention to Oceans of Slumber.
