So my Century Media order came today and my grab bag contained the following albums:

In This Moment - The Dream
Andromeda - Extension of the Wish
Angel Dust - Of Human Bondage
Mercenary - The Hours That Remain
Maroon - When Worlds Colide
Octinomos - f**khole Armageddon
Sepulchral Feast: A Tribute to Sepultura
Visionaries of the Macabre, Vol. II: An Evil Elite

The Octinomos album is terrible, but the others are alright. To my suprise In This Moment are actually somewhat decent in a so bad it's good way.

Isis - Wavering Radiant
My Dying Bride - Turn Loose The Swans
Anathema - Alternative 4

It's my favourite of theirs. I first listened to it around 17 years ago (on a tape), and I am still enjoying it very much. It's brutal and technical.

I also got another replacement physical copy of Tool's Lateralus but I don't consider it metal. Wink

Man, "Slaughter of the Soul" basically changed Swedish Death Metal and the surrounding Nordic
Countries. A VERY influencial Album, but hey, its pretty heavy stuff.
"Rust in Piece"  reinvigorated the Thrash movement into more Technical Compositions, thanks to
Marty Friedman (who I was a Fan of YEARS before that Megadeth Album came out).
Excellent choices me thinks Big smile.
Its Funny how Tool splits up the Metal and Prog Community, I think theyre both Wink.
I like'em.

My Recent Purchases (for the past few months, I dont get to spend as much as I used to
and I dont buy on-line), Anything highlighted in Blue are for donations to Progulus.com:
Prog Metal:
1. Orphaned Land- The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR
2. Stonehenge- Angelo Salutante (Used)
3. Leprous- Tall Poppy Syndrome (Used) Death Prog Metal ala' Opeth.
4. Cains Offering- Gather the Faithful (Used) Power/Prog Metal.
5. Entwined- Dancing Under Glass (Used) A rare find! A bit Dark Wave-ish
but a Male "Rough Thrash-like" voice.

Post-Prog Metal/ Wacko
1. Primus- Miscellaneous Debris (Used) Been wanting to get this for awhile,
5 remakes of unusual songs (except "Have a Cigar").

Death/Math Metal:
1. Augury- Fragmentary Evidence
2. Meshuggah- I (Used)
3. Soilwork- Figure Number Five (Used)
4. Soilwork- The Chainheart Machine (Promo)
5. Ihshan- angL (Used)

Thats it for now Smile

Other purchases around same time (if anyone cares to see it)-
Prog Rock
:
1. Karmakanic- Who's the Boss in the Factory (Used) These guys get a
bit heavy, much like Enchant.
2. Negus- Dare to Dream (Used) "Steve Negus", original Drummer of
Saga. Cool Find!
3. Saga- Generation 13 (Used)
4. Victor (Used) Alex Lifeson of Rush, 1st and only Solo Album. I dont
see it around much anymore, so I bought it to replace my "Promo" version.
5. Native Window- Debut (Used) I hate to say this, very disapointing Cry
I'm a HUGE Kansas Fan, basically its Kansas without Steve Walsh with
Bassist Billy Greer on Vocals.  This Album sounds like modern Pop
Country, with "tinges" of Prog.  I can see that Walsh is probably the moving
force behind Kansas, if Kerry Livgren isn't in the line-up.
Rock:
1. Jefferson Starship- Modern Times
Its about fricken time! I've waited for 25 Years for this to be released on
CD (I only have it on LP, and I havent had a Turn-Table for 15 YearsCry).
Some songs get a bit Proggie, and "ALIEN" is worth the whole album.

Bleeding Through - Bleeding Through

Probably the best Metalcore album that will be released this year.
