The Contortionist is a progressive deathcore band from Indianapolis. Their first full-length album, Exoplanet, is surprisingly good for deathcore. This band needs to be added to the site.

redirected the suggestion to the progressive metal team, because they are, first and foremost a prog band, as it seems.

They are actually prog deathcore, so you aren't wrong at all. And there is their myspace if anybody wants to take a peak: http://www.myspace.com/thecontortionistband Edited by CCVP - 20 Jan 2011 at 8:24pm |

Although they could fit in progressive metal, metalcore is a much better overall description IMO. |

I was thinking they'd be added to death metal, since other progressive deathcore bands like The Faceless are filed under death metal.

I agree with Christian here. This should be added to metalcore. In fact Ill add them right away. They can always be moved.

Added: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/the-contortionist.aspx and waiting for the MB update to add the releases. This thread is locked and any further discussion about placement should take place in the CZ ( theres a discussion going on in the progressive metal team thread)
