I only got 12%, although there were many albums that I've been meaning to listen to. Should really do that, but there's just so much music to listen to. LOL

I expect you'll do better when I put a USPM list up. Though I don't know half as many USPM acts to keep it to one album per artist and get 100 albums. We'll see. May have to allow multiples for that one.

There actually weren't any I hadn't heard of, just 15 I haven't actually listened to. About half of them are on my itunes to be listened to at some point (Savage Circus, Rage, Heaven's Gate, Pyramaze, Guardians of Time, Firewind, Mob Rules, Magic Kindgom), then there's some like, Thy Majestie, Fairyland and Forcentury which I definitely have to look into soon, since I like what I heard from them before, a couple others I'm vaguely interested in but don't consider a priority (White Skull, Black Abyss), then there's Tad Morose who I don't like from what I've heard, and From the Depth which I tried once and switched the album off after a couple tracks because it didn't look too good.

I see via RYM you've only rated the recent Tad Morose, which I gather aren't anywhere near as well regarded as their old stuff before the long break between albums. I'm not a major fan myself though. I picked up Modus Vivendi cheap but I've never felt inclined to buy any more of their stuff.

And 66/100 on power metal. Happy with that; I wasn't expecting to beat Travis on this one.

I did terrible on the power metal list... but I am not the biggest power metal fan in the world, and the power metal releases I do like are typically more obscure.

As can be seen from my result I'm no expert on black metal. Heard 11 out of 100.

Even worse on power metal - only heard 5 out of 100 though there were a few more I'd heard bits of.

Thrash (last for tonight): http://www.listchallenges.com/metal-music-archives-100-thrash-metal-albums

Only 25 here for me. I got a lot of dues to pay still where thrash is concerned.

I'm having a go at doing a grindcore list. It's a bit time consuming!

It's easier when the albums are already in the database. Had to put in only a few for thrash. 2015 list took ages though.

Yeah, I'm having to put in an absolute shitload. Good news is, we're first port of call on a couple of them!

You know, I just realised that I've never listened to a whole grindcore album.

I got 44, that's the best I've done so far with the MMA lists.

Oh, and I think you'd really like that Powermad "Absolute Power" album, its US power/thrash sound should be right up your alley. Thumbs Up

42/100. There's some strange stuff in that list, and a lot of stuff I expected to be there wasn't!

20/100 on the thrash list, which is about what I would have expected.

I could start suggesting stuff to you, but it might get a bit overwhelming. An easy one (for grindcore!) for most metal fans is Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses by Brutal Truth.
