Heard 40 of them of which I own 29 on vinyl or CD. There's a few more I've heard bits of.

Probably just you. Wink

Actually that was the only album in the whole top 100 that RYM didn't even have to put on the version I put on there.

I'm trying to get the MMA name out there as much as I can. So as such there's now a 2014 version that can be filled in as well.

Due to the different style of the 2014 list there aren't quite as many albums though.

Well well, seems I'm at the top of the 2014 list.

For now anyway.

22% for 2014 Unhappy

That's over 1 in 5 I suppose. And I have a wife, three kids and a dog who spend all of my record money!

^ You need to put a stop to that, spending your record money! It's a disgrace! Wink

Not so many of the 2014 for me - 34% ( heard 25 of 73 but own 23 of them). Heard bits of another 10 or so but not the whole album.

5% for the 2014 list I haven't even heard Machine Head's Bloodstone & Diamonds. I simply haven't seen it for sale ANYWHERE!

^ I hardly ever find anything I want locally in the shops. It's got to the point where I rarely waste my time looking and just order online.

Online shopping is a bit shit in NZ. Costs a bloody fortune to ship anything here, or if something is stocked in NZ, it's way overpriced.

I should make a separate topic for these rather than keep high-jacking this one, but I'm going to keep using List Challenges to put the MMA name out there.

Unfortunately I've no longer got the full results for previous best of year lists (and I don't feel like recalculating them right now) so every so often I'm going to put up a genre theme list. Starting with this one: http://www.listchallenges.com/metal-music-archives-100-black-metal-albums

^Only got 8% on that one, but unsurprising as I'm pretty picky when it comes to black metal.

I got 7/100, lol! Not shocking, though, since I rarlely listen to Black Metal. If we ever do power metal on the other hand, I'll be ashamed if I get less than 50%, and not overly happy if I don't get at least 75%.

I'm probably doing power metal next.

Will be keeping it to Euro power though, as I want to do USPM separately. Good news for you I reckon? Wink

Sadly, I was too busy with other things last year to listen to much music, so I had to opt out of this project this time around. I just want to say that adg211288 did an extremely good job with this list. I am looking forward to contributing to the 2016-list.

By the way, the strong representation of black metal seems to represent a shift, I think. In the beginning of MMA's existence, I think collabs by far preferred progressive metal, but over the years, things have become more diverse, which can only be a positive sign.

Thanks Kim.

Power metal challenge list uploaded. I'm expecting Travis to be the undisputed king.

Out of everyone on MMA I should definitely get the top score, yeah. There's always a chance some guest will come in and score higher, but even that is probably doubtful.

Just started, and checked all 4 out of the first pile. Looking strong so far.

Update: 85/100

So yeah, that should easily get top score.
