A new Vio-Lence EP coming too. The new song is absolutely killer, and the band now features Bobby Gustafson on guitar.

^read about this a few weeks ago. Somewhat disappointed it won't be death metal but I'm simultaneously intrigued. A release date for the new Conjurer album is still proving ellusive but that aside, I am very much looking forward to the following: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/crowbar/zero-and-below - due 04/03 http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/meshuggah/immutable - due 01/04 Edited by BitterJalapeno - 21 Feb 2022 at 8:22am |

Arch Enemy in July:
http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/arch-enemy/deceivers For me, Arch Enemy is a band that alternates between a really good album and a lacklustre album, and it's the turn of the really good one, and based on the single I'm currently listening to, it's on track to do just that. There are two other songs released here, which I'm about to play next: |

^^ I've tended to automatically buy Arch Enemy albums but I'm trying to be more selective as my collection is getting out of hand and not enough time to give each one the time it desrves. This is looking like a buy though based on what I've heard so far.
^ The last Abbath album was very good so looking forward to this one. Edited by Nightfly - 24 Feb 2022 at 1:16pm |

This has a very classic Blind Guardian feel to it, which is neat! Looks like the new album in generally will be their most classic sounding in quite some time, while still having traces of their modern sound, so it could be really special, I think.

They're my favourite band, so my hype was always going to be at 11, but man they are killing it!
Also, if you check out the single of this on Spotify, it actually has all three tracks including the full version of Secrets of the American Gods. I check Amazon daily for pre-order, but so far they don't have a standard CD version on there (even for them I'm not paying nearly £20 for a few alternate cuts as bonus tracks).

I ordered the standard. The few extras on the limited don't warrant an extra £5.

New Xandria inbound:
New singer sounds very good, but I'm concerned the line-up with be again short-lived. Xandria (including their management) unfortunately have priors when it comes to treating their female singers right.

First taste of Arjen Lucassen's new band Supersonic Revolution:
The debut album, Golden Age of Music, is said to be a love letter to the seventies. In an unusual move, Lucassen only plays bass on the new album and this is the first traditional band line-up he's put together since Guilt Machine in 2009. |
