Have you noticed that while Rob had been gone from PA, that June has been gone too?  I am thinking that June is actually Rob's feminine alter ego. LOL

Been on a review rush today (well it's over an hour past midnight...). Four reviews written, but won't be putting them out yet, one review for each day is the way to go for now. Tomorrow morning to write another, along with the usual database band additions and so forth....

I think that with this site it really isn't our job to dictate how the reviews are written.  As long as they aren't plagiarized and fall within the site's guidelines I think that as bad as that review might be it would probably have to stay.

I don't want to see reviews like that around here either. It's bound to happen eventually, but we should try to prevent it as long as possible.
 
A good set of guidelines would probably do just that.

Yep... As much as I'd like to see the number of MMA members increasing, it's bound to bring along some really sub-par reviews, many of which can be found in PA. So far we've had no problems luckily.

I�m sorry but a review like that is not something I would like to see here on MMA. I have nothing against people writing personal anekdotes in their reviews ( it�s sometimes what makes a review interesting), but first and foremost a review has to be about the music.

The fanboy rants that go on in some "reviews".

Something like, "this album is teh best thing everzz. teh other reviewer is stupid cuz he doesn't like the album.". Those kinds of things, where the reviewer proceeds to not even mention anything about the album, aside from how the album is "awesome" and everyone who dislikes it deserves to be put in a mental institution.

Those are hilarious. I know that there was one over on ProgArchives a few months ago like this that was HILARIOUS. I'll try to find it...
