There's a 100% chance there's been a topic on this subject, therefore this is renamed to MORE FAVORITE INSTRUMENTALS (© Me 2015).
So, what are some of your favorite instrumental melodies, metal or otherwise? Some of my favorites include: Phish - The Divided Sky (There's like 5 seconds where they a Capella the title of the song at the beginning, but that doesn't count. Also it's one of my favorite songs of all time.) Phish - First Tube (I actually highly recommend this to fans of wacky music as well as funky and meaty bass riffs. Phish has got the right thing for you.) Porcupine Tree - Signify (What can I say? It's Porcupine Tree and it's Signify at that. Just listen to it ya fool.) Pink Floyd - Any Colour You Like ("Jimmy, are you alright man? *cough cough* "Dude, he's totally shit stoned out of his mind." "No shit, that fucking song's playing again.") Those are all I can think of at the moment, but I would love to hear some of your thoughts and your personal favorite instrumentals. Go wild!

There are too many amazing instrumentals to mention, especially with electronic music being largely instrumental.
I'll just stick with metal, and name a few of my favorites. Losfer Words (Big Orra) - Iron Maiden - Powerslave Wedding Nails - Porcupine Tree - In Absentia Cosmic Sea - Death - Human Orion - Metallica - Master of Puppets Erotomania - Dream Theater - Awake Words Collide - Apocalyptica - Worlds Collide Voice of the Soul - Death - The Sound of Perseverance Edited by Unitron - 26 Mar 2015 at 11:19pm |

Love that one!! 'Jessica' by The Allman Brothers. Upbeat as HELL, really love it! So LIVELY! Gives me that goody-goody feeling! 'Transylvania' by Iced Earth, I guess. Nice little dark power metal instrumental. Epic! I know it was originally done by someone else though, I forget who.. Pretty much ANYTHING by Ozric Tentacles!! Great stuff!!! I'll name some more as memory serves. |

'One Of These Days' by Pink Floyd also comes to mind. The double bass action is mesmerizing.
