At long last, Italian black metal institution Abhor unleash their long-awaited sixth album,Ritualia Stramonium, set for release on March 31st via Moribund Records. Four years since their last Moribund album, the critically acclaimed Ab Luna Lucenti, Ab Noctua ProtectiAbhor here drive deeper into the ancient mysticism of classic black metal. Never one for trends, the trio turn Ritualia Stramonium into a ritualistic ride through cobwebbed corridors, skeletal forests, and melancholic castle towers. With medieval organ at the fore,Ritualia Stramonium isn't so much a "retro" black metal record that harks back to the mid '90s as it is something truly and authentically grounded in that era - because Abhor have been practicing the black arts since 1995. Death to modernism, as the old ways take over once again...heed the call of Abhor's Ritualia Stramonium! Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Tracklisting for Abhor's Ritualia Stramonium
1) Between Flames and Moon
2) Diabolus est qui id invocat
3) De exorcismis et supplicantionibus quibusdam
4) I...the Witch
5) Soul's Poison
6) Circle of Stones
7) The Chant of the Owl
8) Wine of Sabbath
9) Requiem for Errans Infernorum

A statement from the band reads: "Ritualia Stramonium is an esoteric opera, studied and conceived for the love of the horned one, summoning and epitomizing the uttermost priciples of aristocratic witchcraft, according to the highest law of the temple of the Vinum Sabbati, the archpriest of the old serpent, the cardinal of the great fiery red dragon and the congregation of the fullmoon... Praise our Lord and see you in Hell." The album is dedicated to the memory of Errans Infernorum, who passed away March 20th, 2014. "The insanity has become consciousness. Firmly convinced in his commitments."

And to celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band, Abhor have now started a Bandcamp page, where listeners can stream every record the band have released. It can be found HERE.
