^I used to listen to a lot of Old Mans Child. My favorite was this one:
OLD MANS CHILD - In Defiance of Existence cover

...as far as I remember it was especially the track "Black Seeds on Virgin Soil" that I was really into.

Musically they're very an interesting band, just like quite a lot of death metal bands to me, but I can never get over the vocal, their cover of the Death song Empty Words is also worth a good mention but suffering from the same problem. Sure, I understand, if the vocals weren't like that, they wouldn't really be a 'real' death metal band, so to say, and the vocal is an integral part of their ideology or rebellion or whatever we call it, or maybe they just want to say harsh and complex at the same time or they're just not brave enough to change them (but who knows to what?) etc. Still, it's a pity.

Yeah the vocals are very extreme and definitely a bit hard to appreciate. Theyve grown on me though and Im actually rather impressed by this album.

...they really did a cover of Empty Words? On which release?
