I'm not surprised considering that progressive metal is one of the least popular subgenres on PA; people complain about LaBrie, some even make fun of him. He may not be a great vocalist but still...

As to what you were saying, it may be that, on the one hand, Dream Theater is an overrated band. But are versatile, in my view. I like Yes, King Crimson, Caravan, but are different bands with each other, each with its single biggest quality. And that is lovely in prog rock.

Caravan are a good band but nothing special.  DT are a special band.  They are a main reason for half of the bands on PA.  And most of the bands started after 1990.  Canterbury is just a tiny little niche.
