Cool bass work. One of my favorite sludge metal bassists.

a serious question, what do you think about the least talked about but still the most straight guy from the beloved Mastodon. hes bass playing is very rearly mention but all the other isntruments are highlighted, is it nothing spessial dose not Troy In your opinion bring any cool bass licks or cool grooves. what is hes tone does he give the allready chatoic but refiened sound of Mastodon.
To me he is the spokesman of the band, and the head of the band, not the leader that is Dailor (and the main writer) and Brent is second in command ) if one ar looking at a band that I think really have a democratic prosses one spot who do what in the band. the sound is mostly created around Branns spastic, wild and tight drumming, and the twin sounthern styled guitar, but to me also the booming and THICK sound of the bass. like hes bass work on Sleeping Giant is amazing but also hes tone on Where Strides the Behemoth is agressive and biteing
any thought on this is nice
