^Oh...well that´s certainly not the case in the TV-series, although some are Chinese.

I'm still only three in. The book was good but I couldn't say loved it. I liked it enough to be interested in the series. The major difference other than pacing is that the book has an almost entirely Chinese cast of characters.

That really puzzles me because the series could not be much more like the games as is and is actually like the games in ways you'd think a tv show would skim over such as item mechanics showed being used (Stimpak healing for instance). The reference to how these are games players often ignore the main quest in was also so on point. What's more the set and prop designs are lifted straight from Fallout 4 to impeccable detail. If people are complaining about it not being enough like the games I'd be tempted to conclude that they: A. Haven't actually played the games. B. Are still hung up on the original Fallout games pre-Bethesda. C. Are just shit-stirring. Good to see you here by the way mate, been a while!

I'm staying true to form by being late to the party but I just finished season one of Fallout. There are some elements I think could've been better but I like it. I've seen some people mad that it isnt more like the games or whatever but I'm personally quite fine with adaptations being different in some areas. But then I have only ever played New Vegas and wouldnt really call myself a Fallout fan so I guess there's that.

I haven´t read the book, and I´m enjoying this one. I´m only a couple of episodes in though.

Finally airing in the UK, though we're still waiting for the other sequel series.

I read the book a few weeks back. This adaptation changes the characters to a multi-national cast though so it's ben difficult to line up who is supposed to be who especially when they seem to have traits spread between them. The pacing compared to the book also seems well off with certain reveals coming far far earlier than expected. I'm on three episodes in and have already had some late book stuff. I'm enjoying it even as something feels off about it.

From the makers of Band of Brothers and The Pacific, so it's up to those standards. Based on true stories, with the usual liberties for dramatic effect. There's some pretty intense combat scenes, which are really well done.

The first four seasons are best, but season 5 to 8 are well worth watching. I think they could see it was in a bit of a decline, so pulled the plug before it went too far downhill. I just started watching this last night. What would you do if you got caught in a stage musical? If you're not a fan of musicals, all the singing and dancing might get a bit annoying, but I love it so far.

Watching Dexter...didn´t see it back when it first aired but Neflix in Denmark just brought it back, so I thought I´d watch it while I can. I´m in the middel of season 5 and I´m still binge watching. I love it.

First two episodes of the latest season have dropped and while more entertaining than the average Chibnall era episode they were also tonally all over the place with especially the first one going from comedic to outright horror as fast as you like. The opener was also clearly designed as a new stepping on point episode for the show even more so that the 15th Doctor's first episode the Christmas special with many things directly rehashed from early 9th Doctor episodes.

I finished season one of Fallout yesterday and this is hands down the best adaptation of a video game universe I've ever seen. These normally fall flat on their face but this was brilliant. I don't want to say any spoilers about it here but if you like the games this is a must watch (it's also canon). It also has the most extensive pre-war depictions yet seen in the franchise with many more flashbacks that anticipated and it feels like the franchise just finally delivered perhaps not hard answers but certainly a path to follow on how the Great War actually did start. They have obviously held some staples of the Fallout series back for later seasons which it was kind of disappointing not to see: there are no super mutants encountered, deathclaws are only teased via bones and most of the robot types didn't appear. They missed a chance to have Ron Perlman featured in any capacity but we all know we wanted to hear him deliver the 'war, war never changes' line. Fallout 4 didn't have him do that either but he at least still had a cameo as the newsreader in the intro. The series certainly captured the inherent wackiness of Fallout and I hope that will continue into the next season and hopefully at least get a cameo from the Zetans. |

I watched the first two episodes so far and am loving it! I think if you do not know the games then maybe this may seem a bit weird but if you have played them them this captures them so well and the sets and props are completely accurate to Fallout 4's designs. It is good as well for being its own story and not just trying to adapt one of the games though it is still very much in the spirit of the games.

^I liked The Crown, which I watched with my wife and my mother in law. I didn´t think there was any decline in acting, writing, or my interest in the story.

I'm just about done with the final series (series 6) of The Crown. It's really declined since the first two series, which were great. This is just tedious now, and I hate what they've done with some of the characters (the Queen Mother in particular!), and while Johnathan Pryce is a fine actor, he's just not a convincing Prince Phillip at all.

So obviously things changed between seasons 2 and 3 (changing from Fox to Hulu). The tone got slightly more serious and the episodes much longer...but it´s still damn brilliant. I have nothing to complain about. Great sci-fi show.

About halfway through the 3 seasons of The Orville, and I´m a fan. Damn it´s funny. Even my daughter thinks it´s brilliant and we laugh so much while watching.
