Oceansize is a progressive rock band, from Manchester in England, formed in 1998. They are named after a Jane's Addiction's song "Ocean Size". Their music contains elements of post-rock, psychedelic rock, math rock, post-hardcore, and space rock. They are known for their unique style and the way they make music (mostly by jamming!).
Oceansize released their first EP, Amputee, in 1999. Since then, the band has achieved exposure for their breakthrough albums, Everyone Into Position (2005) and Frames (2007). Their discography consists of four studio albums, five EPs, and a number of singles. Since the bands breakup in 2011, the band's members have each pursued individual projects. These are highly recommended to fans of the band.
