Genre: crust punk/death metal crossover
So far, the only full length release by Nuclear Death Terror, this album is a crustfest to remember. While mostly drawing on D-beat-based hardcore crust punk, one of the things that this band are known for is their flirtation with death metal elements, such as brutally growled vocals and a couple of more metallic riffs every now and then. In addition there are a couple of more thrashy midtempo sections and breakdowns as well as a few lead guitar patterns that are more hardrockish and metallish.
The energy that is captured on this album is magnificent, and it is partially derived from the primitive and simple hardcore punk riffage and d-beating, but some of it, I think, can also be attributed to the raw and dirty production sound.
Fans of hardcore punk and crossover thrash should find this release very interesting.
