Can't imagine his record labels are too happy with him right now. No business is going to want to be seen by even passively endorsing this. Not in 2021. Same for his bandmates (not of of whom are American). Fact is I think he'd be extremely lucky at this point to avoid a jail sentence.

Yeah I saw that too, and I´m not impressed by Schaffer. Luckily I´ve never been a huge Iced Earth fan, so my enjoyment of their music won´t be much affected by his stupidity. I hope he is incarcerated with the rest of the idiot coup makers who invaded the US congress. That´s inexcusable behaviour in a democracy. There are absolutely zero evidence to support Trump and his idiot supporters in their claim of election fraud...come on you imbeciles!!! give up and awknowledge defeat like real men/women would. Their behaviour is incredibly embarressing for the US, and hopefully they´ll be charged with trying a coup. That should give them plenty of years in prison to think about what they´ve done. My respect for him as a person just flushed down the toilet. Have you read the article that Adam links to? He is completely paranoid and talks about all kinds of conspiracy theories. That´s nutcase talk. Lock him up...if not in a prison, then in a mental institution. With this move he has proven a danger to society...

Trump? He needs to be held responsible for what's happening. The man has no shame, totally shown what an entitled spoilt nutjob he is over this. His ego is so big he can't comprehend that he could have lost. He's the kind of guy who when he was a kid would have taken his ball home if his team were losing. The sooner he's gone the quicker things can settle down over there.

News on that has been overshadowed here by Covid surging ('only' 52k new cases today compared to 62k yesterday, but over 1100 more dead), but I have seen a bit about it.
I knew Trump wasn't going to go quietly, but it was always his supporters who were the danger. A fucking disgrace.

Just read all the rules. Once again the government overlooks that not everyone can get click and collect in their own town. Only affects us this week as we've been booking delivery instead but since you need to book your Tesco slots three weeks in advance you can't predict what state the country's going to be in by the time it comes around or what the rules will be.
My town is a total hotspot now with cases going higher than ever daily. It's a risk even to make quick top-up runs to the co-op for bread and milk, let alone trying to do a weekly shop. Wouldn't be a problem if Halstead people hadn't decided to launch a huge protest over Tesco coming into the town a few years ago. We'd have a nice superstore on the edge of town by now instead of a massive new housing estate that we don't have the schools or doctors to support.

Talking about schools going back after half-term so wondering if that means we're all likely to be in lockdown until mid Feb at least.

Catching up with Boris on YouTube. As expected, lockdown incoming.
Feeling very angry at all the people on the video chat telling people not to get vaccinated though.

Yes I think a lockdown is inevitable. I'm already not working so won't make any difference to me really. The question is how long? I think he might go for a month to begin with and then review it.

Boris addressing the nation at 8PM tonight. Full lockdown like the original imminent?
It kinda needs to be. Which probably means it won't be, knowing this government. We'll see. Dreading today's map update which could be up in anything from a few minutes to a few hours.

We do go out for walks in the nearby countryside, but we aren't driving far to do it. Just far enough to escape the crowds. And once a week to Tesco for pickup, but we're changing to delivery from next week. But I don't think all the traffic around here can possibly account for people doing the same. I haven't seen any less traffic than normal lately. Same for people on foot. There's some people around here seem to be going down the high street every single day. Usually people even older than my parents are who are at the most vulnerable.

They need to start hitting rule breakers where it hurts more - their wallets. Because of them Boris is talking about even tougher restrictions though there's not much you could add to Tier 4 other than closing schools.
When I've been out you wouldn't think we're in Tier 4 with the amount of traffic on the roads. Can't understand where everyone is going, there's very few places to go.

God damn it. Up to 82 cases in the current map week now for Halstead. Highest we've ever been.
Only just starting to see effects of 50K daily cases added to the map. They're probably going to have to add another colour tier once we get all the New Year rule-breakers on there. My family is following rules but I've never been worried over our own actions. It's everyone else out there. Unfortunately we don't have the capacity to keep enough food it to just go week to week on Tesco click and collect or delivery. There are always things like bread and milk that need to be replaced beforehand. The sooner my parents can get their first vaccine dose, the better. That will at least be some weight off my shoulders.

I was being sarcastic Ashley. Just read his apology which I'm sure was more instigated by the ridicule and contempt he was getting than any genuine remorse.
