I rushed out and bought this album when I found out about Judas Priest being taken to court because of it.

What a difference in album covers! The second is infinitely better IMHO. Personally i love this debut but it seems to get bad ratings because it isn't "classic" Priest

I really liked it. First time I've listened properly. It sounds a bit tinny, but no one outside Black Sabbath/Deep Purple/Led Zep was getting a really big sound in those days, so it was of it's time. Anyway, onto this classic:

I hadn’t heard that. Anyway this is my favourite Priest album. Classic from start to finish. |

^Let us know what you thought of it. I didn't care for it at first but it's grown on me a little.

Some idiot messed with the tracklisting here back in the 70s - weren't nothing wrong with the Aussie version!

A lot weaker than the three albums preceding it. It just doesn't have the songs to grab you like the earlier albums. And I really don't like either version of the artwork.

I guess that depends on the version you listened to first. I prefer the international version to the aussie version, because I only became familiar with and listened to the latter last year.

I had the Aussie versions of TNT and Dirty Deeds... when I was a teenager (NZ and Australia are often seen as the same market) so I guess I have the same but opposite experience as you. Anyway, time to listen to some Voltron:
