Listening to it. Inclined to disagree with your opinion of it, but I quite often disagree with everybody, myself included.Tongue

Not played much today since I've trying to finish my review for this one:

I count these among my favourite bands, so this review isn't an easy one.

^Based on three listens I think it's still very good as always, but the lack of any speedier sections at all hurts it a bit, imo. The heavier sections really don't work that great for me, compared to what I was hoping for.

Not impressed so far...if the album after this doesn't do it then I'm just gonna give up.

One of the greatest metal albums of the 70's, basically proto-stoner metal. \m/

Holy shit, this album is blisteringly heavy. Plastic Shotgun is basically thrash metal, from 1972.

Haven't had a chance to hear this yet. They said it would go up on Spotify on October 1st but it's the 4th now it still isn't there.

I'm intrigued but sceptical of the prog metal tag on an album from that early.

Since it's well documented as a hard rock album I've going to move it there for now and put it in the same group as Satori and Volcanic Rock that will be discussed to move up to heavy metal.

Yeah, I agree that it's not prog metal. I think it's definitely an example of early 70's heavy metal though, I'm actually working on a review of it.
