^Yeah, no diss on 21, I really like that song, but had remembered how close it was to Knight Jumps Queen as well. I haven't heard the song you're talking about (Is the album out yet?), but I'm sure you're right.
I don't know who's in Annihilator right now other than Waters, always been a constantly revolving door, but I would love the Set the World on Fire lineup to come back, speaking of Knight Jumps Queen. With the exception of the two lame ballads on that album, it has all their best songs. Such great songwriting. |
It's just him and a drummer right now, I think. But yeah, he switches members around so much, at this point, he may as well just call it "Jeff Waters", like a solo project, and be done with it.
The album is out tomorrow, but someone posted it all on Youtube, so that's how I heard it already.

^Knight Jumps Queen 3.0* They already did 2.0 with 21 from King of the Kill lol. Annoying, though at least they're self-plagiarizing their best song. |
I had to look 21 up, since I forgot how it sounded. That sounds slightly similar, but Lip Service sounds almost exactly the same, on every level, note for note (aside from the solo section.) So, 21 is nowhere near as bad, imo. I could also say I Am Warfare is basically Twisted Lobodomy 2.0, but at least that's still a great song, where Lip Service just sucks horribly.

What don't you like about it? Never understood how people don't like Point of Entry, it's probably my second favorite Priest album after Vengeance. Desert Plains is one of the best metal songs ever written. | To be completely fair it HAS been awhile since I last heard it so I'll give it another shot!

So, I was about ready to say this is the best, most pissed off and most fun they've been since at least Feast, but then Lip Service came on, and....... Oh boy. Like, I've heard bands self-plagiarize before, but no joke, this may as well just be called "Knight Jumps Queen 2.0" because musically, EVERYTHING sounds basically the exact same, like it's all just a modern re-rercording and not a new track at all (except the lyrics are entirely different, so that excuse doesn't work.)
