Argentinian outfit ZYON was formed in late 2001 by Aldo Zapata (guitars), Ramiro Blanco (guitars), Gabriel Zapata (vocals), Carlos Araoz (bass) and Matias Medina (drums). They started playing live shows in 2002, and they are still very much an active entity in the concert circuit, and have opened for well known local and international acts over the years.
They issued their first EP "Fuego Interno" in 2003, but since then the band has suffered extensive line-up changes, which have halted their progress. In 2008 a new line-up was in place, with drummer Medina the only remaining original member. The rest of the band at this point in time was made up by Gustavo Guerrero (vocals), Santiago Bazán (guitars), Hugo Leturia (guitars, vocals) and Martín Barrionuevo (bass). A new EP was issued now as well, namely "Desde Las Sombras".
