Formed in early 1971 in Hamburg, Silberbart consisted of guitarist/vocalist Hajo Teschner, bassist Werner Klug and drummer Peter Behrens. Teschner was a member of a local band the Sonics who were session players and doing T.V. soundtracks disbanded with Teschner wanting to do something different as he was interested in free jazz thus forming the experimental power trio.
Signed to the Philips label the band released, 4 Times Sounds Razing" in the spring of 1971 consisting of four tracks based on blues and heavy metal with an unique free form structure with bizarre vocals on top. The album didn't recieve much notice and the band dissolved in 1972. Experimental/ambient/ electronics free improvistional jazz project, Nurse With Wound sites Silberbart as one of thier influences.
4 Times Sounds Razing is a lost dark hard Krautrock masterpiece highly sought by vinyl collectors as counterfeit copies exist from the demand and the limited copies
