'The Landing' definitely contained many great metal numbers such as 'The Savior' which made an excellent starter; 'Starlight' abuse the rhythm as fast as possible and the melodic powerful chorus grant this song as one of the best here, 'March of Doom' is also fast-paced with furious riffs and another fave of mine, but probably best of the bunch is on the super cheesy titled, formulaic melodic metal, 'Heavy Metal Never Dies'. A very effective track with those big hooks and sing-along lines!

There are several downside to this album though. 'Moment In Time' was strengthened with tense riffs but lack of something memorable, 'Hall of The Heroes' fell short on the chorus, and 'Before The Pain' can just be left out. 'R U Ready' and 'No Guts, No Glory' saves the day for them, especially the latter which is the best track on the second half.

Based on probably 3 spins, I think I will stick with 80% although I'm afraid after more than 10 spins, 'The Landing' will dropped to 75%, but I heard that several people already claimed that this is their best so far. I don't argue with that as I dig this album a lot, but I hope they can come up with a better and more consistent album in the near future.

They're a very consistent band but this one has to be my favourite. Unification and Dark Assault are both very good too.
