This is CIRCUS MAXIMUS' debut released in 2005. It's very melodic Prog-Metal with touches of Power-Metal added. There are vocals sung in English that are really good, in fact the lyrics are excellent as well. This was recorded in various studios in Norway then mixed by Tommy Hansen at Jailhouse Studios in Denmark. The two bands that they get compared to a lot are SYMPHONY X and DREAM THEATER although for me it's the latter band's sound that came to mind at times. This is one of those albums that again sits between 3.5 and 4 stars. Certainly not a solid 4 stars but i will offer up that fourth star here. Recommended to Prog-Metal fans.
