This album was brought to my attention earlier this year and I was excited to hear it. A collaboration between members of some of the most forward thinking projects of the last decade.

The music is almost impossible to define. Lots of styles and sounds are explored throughout the album. The opening track 'Souvernirs' is instantly energetic with a dark Post-Metal feel to it and opens the album perfectly. 'Drachma' and 'Relics' are the most ambient tracks on the album featuring powerful guitar lines and atmospheric vocals.

The heaviest tracks are 'The Emanation' and 'Obsidian Damascene Sun' which sounds almost Black Metal-like in places. With fast drumming and heavy guitar lines.

The closing tracks 'Selenelion' and 'The Zahir' again explore different styles featuring softer more atmospheric music and close the album strongly.

This is definitely a masterpiece of an album, featuring fantastic musicians and creating something completely original.
