After Korn released their groundbreaking 1994 debut album, they rushed out "Life is Peachy" which was pretty much a stop gap between their debut and the hugely successful "Follow the Leader". This is a short album (14 songs in 48 minutes) and it has a more punky feel than their self titled, it also introduces hip hop elements for the first time in the Ice Cube cover "Wicked" (the self-titled album had fast hardcore pseudo rapping though). It also manages to be both one of the darkest as well as most humorous Korn albums at the same time.

Their self-titled was an extremely personal and emotional album and the great thing about it was that it was all 100% genuine, however this album is when the angst starts to feel forced, the track "Kill You" for example is basically a worse, less genuine version of the track "Daddy". There is also quite a bit of filler on this album, like the extremely forgettable (but not bad) "Lost" and "Ass itch", which may be the most obvious filler song ever, however the short experimental filler tracks ("Twist", "Porno Creep", "Low Rider") are all great and give this the most variety in any Korn record. This is a good album if you want to hear what early Korn sounded like before they became mainstream. This is the only Korn album i'd recommend to non fans, along with the self-titled.
