"History Repeats..." is an EP release by US death metal act Dying Fetus. The EP was released through Relapse Records in July 2011. "History Repeats..." is a cover release featuring six cover tracks by artits such as Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower, Cannibal Corpse and Pestilence and one unreleased orignal Dying Fetus track titled "Rohypnol".

The band are as usual very well playing and deliver their music with great conviction and fierce brutality. "Rohypnol" is a pretty standard Dying Fetus track, but I greatly enjoy most of the cover tracks. Especially their version of "Twisted Truth" by Pestilence, that has been given a more brutal twist, is a pure joy to listen to. Dying Fetus stay fairly true to the originals though, but still with a slight Dying Fetus twist that makes the EP worthwhile.

I usually don´t find cover releases that interesting, but this one actually sounds pretty inspired to my ears. The sound production is powerful and the musicianship is strong, which aren´t negatives either. A 3.5 star (70%) rating is warranted.
