PROLOUD are a progressive metal band from Spilamberto, Modena, Italy and was formed in the winter of 1996 by founding members Emi Pierro (drums) and Michele Zanni (bass). They then recruited Marco Donello (keyboards) and Emanuele Ghedini (guitar). In November of 1997, Giancarlo Mattei (vocals) joined the band. In 1998, Cristian Zezza replaced Emanuele Ghendini on guitar and the band embarked on a mini-tour of Italy.
In 1999, they recorded their first demo cd "Fickle" which consists of 3 tracks lasting 24 minutes. The demo received good reviews and the attention of Iridea Records.
The band's debut album "Rebuilding" was completed in March of 2001, but wouldn't be released until June of 2002 on Sublime Label.
