PERENNIAL QUEST is a German progressive metal band.The band formed from a series of jams sessions by Stefan Obst (guitars) and Tobias Hermann (drums) in 1995/1996.Philipp Oehrlein (vocals,guitars) soon joined the duo and PERENNIAL QUEST soon began writing original material and looking for a bassist.2 long years later they found their bassist in Florian Amelingmeier and this line-up began to gig locally.
In 1999 the line up was completed when Johannes Keil (keyboards,vocals) joined the band.PERENNIAL QUEST began to rehearse extensively and write new arrangements and material.The live debut of the completed line up took place in 2000.
In 2001 the band released their first album "Seconds",which received positive reviews from fans and press.Years of exhaustive touring followed,with PERENNIAL QUEST playing with such diverse groups as MIND KEY,EXSIMIO,THESSERA and FROGG CAFE,to name a few.In 2005 the long recording process began for their second album "Persistence",which would not be completed and released until
