Mayadome are a Swedish progressive metal band.
Their music is song-oriented with an abundance of time changes trying to go beyond the creation of wonderful melodies, big orchestrations, and complex rhythm patterns. There are some DT influences, YES, or RUSH in their use of rhythm, but it's nonetheless impressive. They aren't a DT clone, just a prog metal band in that style. MAYADOME are the perfect complement to DREAM THEATER, DIGITAL RUIN, SHADOW GALLERY, and PAIN OF SALVATION.
Their first album, "Paranormal Activity" has style changes executed with astonishing musicianship. Very impressive album "Near Life Experience" is their last offering and is a very successful piece of "traditional progressive metal" with complicated song structures, crunchy riffs and excellent keyboards. Combined with the strong vocals and melodies, the band has an awesome sound. "A true life experience of pure progressive metal paradise".
