LORD BANE is a progressive-metal band formed in Boston, MA, United States, in 1990.
The band was formed in the winter of 1990 when singer, guitarist and main composer Shawn Ames moved from New Orleans to Boston. Here he teamed up with drummer Wes Bordelon and LORD BANE was born. Bassist Eric Yawnaway was added to the lineup later.
After releasing one demo in 1993 and one in 1994, LORD BANE released their debut album, "Age of Elegance", through Rising Sun Records. The album was distributed through Nordic Metal in Scandinavia where LORD BANE was most successful.
The band was inactive for a long period in the mid-to-late nineties but emerged again under the MORPHEOUS monicker and put out an album in 2003, called "The Needle´s Eye."
