Horde is the one-man metal project of Jason Sherlock, famous for being one of the first to combine the musical styles of black metal with Christian lyrics, spawning the genre of "unblack metal" or "white metal".
In 1994, the German record company Nuclear Blast singed what they claim was an anonymous man who was thought for a long time to be from Norway but was actually Australian and operated under the alias "Horde". Horde recorded one album called Hellig Usvart. This was the first black metal-style album released by a major label in the extreme Christian metal scene.
Horde has been traditionally referred to as Anonymous over the many years, but since then, was revealed to be Jayson Sherlock, the ex-Mortification and ex-Paramaecium drummer, who has since been active in InExordium.
